Shant was born and raised in Montreal, Canada to first-generation Canadians from Armenia and Italy.  He learned the value of hard work and persistence from his immigrant parents. Shant earned his MBA from the Queens School of Business in Toronto while working full time in finance and operations at a Fortune-100 company.  Degree in-hand, he left his corporate job in 2008 and relocated to Florida to pursue a career in real estate development.

Shant holds the following prestigious real estate designations: Million Dollar Guild, Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Certified Investor Agent Specialist (CIAS) held by fewer than 1% of all Realtors, and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS).  He does business in five languages: Armenian, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

An authority on Florida real estate and cross-border transactions, Shant has been a featured guest of AM Business Radio and has been interviewed as an expert for wealth management magazines, newspapers such as The Toronto Star and Canadian television.
